Race Brook Lodge is a magical rustic retreat destination at the foot of the Taconic Range in the Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts. We have 35 guest rooms, a 60-seat restaurant, several dynamic event spaces and an organic farm on the property. We host overnight guests, as well as group workshops, retreats, weddings, live music and dance events, yoga retreats, corporate gatherings and more. Kitchen Staff

We have 35 guest rooms, a 60-seat restaurant, several dynamic event spaces and an organic farm on the property. We host overnight guests, as well as group workshops, retreats, weddings, live music and dance events, yoga retreats, corporate gatherings and more.

We are seeking self-motivated, inspired, and resourceful individuals to join our hospitality journey as part of our food prep team, participating in lunch & dinner service at The Stagecoach Tavern, breakfast for overnight guests, and catering for retreat groups on the property, including weddings and other other banquets up to 250 people. Applicants must have previous kitchen experience, a positive attitude, open mind and an interest in different types of cuisines and dietary practices. Enthusiasm for local sustainable agriculture, health and nutrition is also important.

Sous Chef & Line Cook
Assist in daily kitchen operations, menu development, ordering Farm based produce and meats, Inventory and food cost management. Must be highly motivated and knowledgeable of seasonal ingredients and different culinary techniques. Creative freedom within boundaries of cuisine and season. Must have own knives , good vibes and passion to learn and grow as a cook

Garde Mangé
Pair flavors and follow recipes prepare salads, desserts for restaurant service and preparation of food at the direction of the Head Chef. Creative freedom within boundaries of restaurant and supervision of chef.

Qualifications

  • Respect for the Earth and a desire to seek a harmonious coexistence with nature.

  • Versatility and interest in different culinary techniques and dietary practices

  • An interest in farming, sourcing local products, and creative ways of preserving foods

  • Respect for different dietary choices

  • At least two (2) years restaurant kitchen experience

  • Must have your own knives

  • A positive attitude, good vibes only
