We are Seeking an experienced and adventurous professional to lead our financial and operational oversight efforts at Race Brook Lodge. The position includes day-to-day bookkeeping, regular financial reporting, creating budgets, and working with other staff to meet them. The F&O Coordinator will also oversee the regular management of on-site logistics and operations in support of ongoing hospitality activities and events at Race Brook Lodge.

Job Description Summary

The Finance & Operations Coordinator is an important leadership position at Race Brook Lodge, overseeing all financial matters for the business. The Finance & Operations Coordinator will also be evaluating new business opportunities and cost-saving measures and always looking for ways to improve efficiency. A person in this position will be an active member of our hospitality team and will represent the culture and values of Race Brook Lodge with all guests, vendors, partners and other staff, as well as in the public eye and online presence.

Qualifications

• Respect for the Earth and a desire to seek a harmonious coexistence with nature.

• Minimum five years bookkeeping experience

• Thorough understanding of business practices and standard financial reporting

• Basic understanding of hotel and food & beverage financial management

• General computer proficiency and ability to learn new software and technical tools

• Specific experience in Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel, Google Docs

• Experience with restaurant POS systems and Hotel Property Management Systems

• Attention to detail, good organizational and communication practices

• A positive attitude and an interest in hospitality

Race Brook Lodge is a magical rustic retreat destination at the foot of the Taconic Range in the Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts.
