Job Description Summary

The Marketing & Sales Manager will be responsible for creating and executing the marketing plan in coordination with management, other team members and 3rd party collaborators and managing our day-to-day promotional outreach, social media posts, email campaigns, digital & print ads, event promotions, and onsite marketing to our lodging and dining customers.. The Marketing & Sales Manager will also be responsible for responding to leads and closing bookings for group business, including different kinds of corporate retreats, social events such as weddings and family gatherings, wellness retreats and educational workshops.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage a variety of marketing initiatives and proactively seek out new opportunities

  • Develop and implement a marketing / ad campaign and budget in coordination with other team members and partners

  • Work with RBL team and other partners to produce promotional photo and video content

  • Manage social media schedules and publish posts accordingly

  • Schedule, plan and execute email outreach campaigns

  • Produce regular podcast episodes with RBL management, team members, visiting artists and other members of our extended community

  • Promote onsite concerts and other performance events via multiple channels including social media, local press, online advertising, public relations, print media and promotional partnerships

  • Work with partners to document events happening onsite and produce photo and video content to publish on the internet

  • Cultivate promotional partnerships with other organizations and individuals

  • Monitor marketing indicators such as Google Analytics, revenue from different campaigns, email statistics and other relevant metrics

  • Maintain brand and message consistency throughout our marketing literature and company messaging

  • Represent RBL at different conventions and sales expos

  • Create and maintain promotional materials for group clients

  • Create and maintain signage, pamphlets and other content for onsite guests

  • Give tours of the property to prospective group clients

  • Respond to and manage leads for group bookings until a contract is signed

Qualifications

  • Respect for the Earth and a desire for harmonious coexistence with nature.

  • Experience in hospitality, and specifically lodging operations and events

  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in marketing and social media management

  • Advanced computer proficiency and ability to learn new software, design and communication tools

  • Familiarity with social media platforms, Google Analytics, email campaigns, and other digital marketing tools

  • Attention to detail, good organizational and communication practices

  • A positive attitude and an interest in hospitality
