Dear friends, Race Brook Lodge will be closing permanently at the end of November 2025. Please join us sometime in November for a final visit! We have some fantastic events planned for the final month, including a special Thanksgiving buffet dinner and a Holiday market on the final weekend. We will keep the campfires roaring right up to the end! Our family has been honored to steward this land since Dave first landed here in 1990, and now the time has come for a new chapter here. We have put the property up for sale and we are hoping to find a buyer who will care for the property in a way that is respectful to the land and our local community. Please reach out if you have any ideas. In the meantime, after November 30th, we will be offering long-term residencies, some events and pop-up dinners in the tavern until a sale is confirmed. It doesn't get much better than this. The beauty of The Berkshires sits right outside your room, where you have miles of magical hiking trails available to you. You'll be greeted by waterfalls, local wildlife, and the views are beyond epic, regardless of the season. Come for the comfort and stay for the adventure.

There's something for everybody at Race Brook! We've got lots of hammocks located all over our property. Our outdoor pool provides all day fun for all ages, and when it gets dark, we're happy to light a bonfire for you (bring your guitar!). We also have snow shoes for winter nature lovers.

We've got so many wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces for you to hang in and reserve during your stay. These include: The Farm, The Barn, the Cozy Breakfast Room, Pine Grove Porch, The Horseshoe Honor Bar, Shays Lounge, the Gazebo, Farm Yurt and the Sky Lounge.

The Down County Social Club features a handpicked selection of extraordinary and rare entertainment presented in an intimate speakeasy-style environment. Our live performances include music, dance, performance art, poetry and multimedia works. We also occasionally offer films and academically themed events.
