Dance Lab presents the monthly Ecstatic Dance gathering with DJ Omar Aena at Race Brook Lodge. This workshop is open for everybody in all levels of experience.
DanceMeditation is a deep exploration of our inner landscape through Dance and Somatic movement. Through receptive listening to our body and its wisdom as we move, we develop a deeper connection with self, others, our higher power and Creation. As we turn towards awareness of breathing, sensation, feeling and motion, we drop out of the overactive and distracted mind into intuitive embodiment. We begin to truly let go where healing is possible.
Through a wide array of creative movement practices such as fluid yoga, natural intuitive dance, breathing exercises, somatic micro-movement explorations, partner/witness dance, writing from the body, Dervish whirling and deep rest, we become softly integrated within. As all practices are set to a sea of world music, we begin to truly let go and move with freedom and creativity. We leave feeling awakened, inspired, invigorated, centered, healed and with an inner feeling of freedom, peace and deeper connection.
Come with an open heart, wear comfortable clothing for movement and bring socks. This will be a safe and inclusive space, welcoming people from all walks of life to freely express themselves through movement. No prior dance experience is required, just come as you are!
