He has toured extensively throughout the US, Europe, Canada, and Japan as the leader of Stubborn All-Stars, Skinnerbox and the King Django band and has toured, recorded and performed as a sideman with Rancid, Murphy’s Law, The Slackers, the Skadanks, the Toasters, Predator Dub Assassins and Inspecter 7.

He has toured extensively throughout the US, Europe, Canada, and Japan as the leader of Stubborn All-Stars, Skinnerbox and the King Django band and has toured, recorded and performed as a sideman with Rancid, Murphy’s Law, The Slackers, the Skadanks, the Toasters, Predator Dub Assassins and Inspecter 7.
With a career spanning four decades, Django’s multilingual output has focused on mento, ska, rhythm & blues, soul, rocksteady, classic reggae, rock reggae, dub and dancehall, while incorporating such diverse influences as tin pan alley, vaudeville, early American folk & country music, punk rock/NYC hardcore, bolero and even klezmer.
In 2022, as Executive Producer, Django launched the ongoing “Still Stubborn” compilation series on Stubborn Records, featuring ninety international artists covering Stubborn Records catalog tunes, spanning six volumes to date. In 2023 in similar fashion, he launched the “Bim Bam Boom” series, thus far featuring 36 artists paying tribute to American ska band Bim Skala Bim.
