Live Indian Classical Music returns to The Berkshires for one night only with a set of ragas by esteemed members of the Brooklyn Raga Massive community, Abhik Mukherjee (Sitar) & Ehren Hanson (Tabla).
The concert starts at 8pm on Saturday April 22nd, in the Barn.
But do come early, as activities will begin at 4pm with an introductory demonstration of North Indian Classical Music by the artists.

About the Musicians
Abhik Mukherjee was born in Calcutta into a family with a rich musical and educational heritage. He was initiated into playing the sitar at the age of six by his father Sri Tarit Kumar Mukherjee. His father was trained in Vishnupur gharana from Sri Gaurhari Kabiraji, some of his father’s rich treasures which have been inherited by Abhik. Abhik is a gold medalist from the Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, with a Master’s in Musicology. Currently, a resident of New York, Abhik has performed all over the globe, sharing the stage with such legends as Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder.
Ehren Hanson began learning tabla the moment it captured his imagination at age 15. His initial training was under Misha Masud of New York City and in the year 2000 traveled to India to begin a life of intense training with his Guru and living legend Pandit Anindo Chatterjee - a training which continues to present day. He is an acclaimed with the Times of India calling his solo performance, “enthralling”. In 2005 he received the prestigious “Senior Performing Arts Fellowship” from the American Institute of Indian Studies, in 2009 founded the Anindo Chatterjee School of Tabla in Brooklyn, NY and in 2012 he helped co-found the artist collective Brooklyn Raga Massive.
