Join us Sunday May 20th at The Stagecoach Tavern, for a special Jazz Brunch birthday tribute to legendary Berkshire drummer Randy Kaye, with music by John Sauer, Wes Brown & Conor Meehan. The program will also feature a sneak preview of a documentary about Randy's life by his son, Justin Kaye.

Randy Kaye was known for his unique and innovative approach to percussion and jazz drumming. Kaye began playing professionally when he was only 15,making the rounds at famed NYC jazz clubs like The Village Vanguard. He played with many amazing musicians including Paul Chambers, Jaki Byard,Perry Robinson,Dave Izenson,Sheila Jordan,Jimi Hendrix,Bobby Naughton and Jimmy Giuffre. While he frequently toured and recorded in europe,Randy called the Berkshires his home for over 30 years until his passing in 2008.
John Sauer (Keys) played more gigs with Randy than any other musician over the course of a musical friendship that lasted 30 years.
Wes Brown (Bass) played with Randy in the David Bond Quartet, recording and playing all over the northeast.
Conor Meehan (Drums)is a working drummer in NYC who played with Randy over the course of many years.
