Pooja Prema

Pooja Prema is a performance artist, theatre director, writer, and musician based in the Berkshires, MA.  She brings a sweet minstrel magic on her ukulele that has a way of "sticking gently to your soul.

She holds a BA in storytelling, folklore and performance arts from Simon's Rock College of Bard, and is the director of Rogue Angel, an experimental ritual-based theatre/ dance company in the Berkshires that focuses on site-specific, original multi-disciplinary work since 2012. Her credits include a solo clown tour on a bicycle through Kerala, India, 2 community-based vaudeville Carnivals,  3 solo shows SolidãoEndure,  and A Lot to Ask, and several ensemble performances including Isis-Chernobyl '12, , The Lift and Rites of Passage '13- the epic 21-room living museum and performance celebrating the stages of women’s lives from girlhood through elderhood. She is currently at work on her fourth full-length one woman show- "Flowers Falling From My Mouth" to premier in the Berkshires from June 21-24, 2018.  She's also planning a second incarnation of "Rites of Passage" for the summer of 2019 as an "all women-of-color house."
