Dance Lab Presents: Ecstatic Dance Gathering with Omar Aena & Toni Bergins

Join us for a very special Dance Lab gathering featuring an ecstatic dance journey with DJ Omar Aena and an opening class with Journey Dance founder Toni Begins.

We'll start with a guided exploration led by Toni, flowing into a DJ set with Omar.

This will be a safe and inclusive space, welcoming people from all walks of life to freely express themselves through movement. No prior dance experience is required, just come as you are!

Come dance and enjoy a discounted overnight stay at Race Brook Lodge for the night!

Artist Bios

Omar Aena is a world-music DJ, community organizer and event producer of Iraqi descent, based in NYC. Omar is the founder of Dance Lab, a Brooklyn-based collective that explores dance as a form of somatic therapy. As a DJ, Omar mixes together traditional world music with electronic sounds, with a particular focus on songs from his middle-eastern heritage + hip hop from his upbringing in NYC. Toni Bergins, founder of JourneyDance transformational movement, has been leading thousands of people out of their minds and into their bodies, at Kripalu center and internationally.. She will take us on a healing and celebratory experience to connect with our bodies, our emotions and thé community of dance explorers. We will get deeply embodied, embrace our parts, release what needs to be freed, invite in wholeness, and fall in love with our own hearts.. Find out more

Race Brook Lodge is a hidden gem in The Berkshires, at the foot of Mt. Race and a short hike from the Appalachian trail. The yoga & event barn at Race Brook is simultaneously rustic and sublime, steeped in hundreds of years of New England history. The Stagecoach Tavern is unpretentious fine dining, exquisite farm-to-table cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. Much of the food is sourced from Race Farm, right on the property!

The Main Lodge
The Main Lodge

Our rooms are carved out of a 19th century barns and a Federal style mansion, with other cottages and cabins. Continental breakfast is included. Hiking trails start right here on the property and extend up to the Race Brook Falls, Mount Everett, Mount Race and beyond. You can continue on the Appalachian Trail... all the way to Georgia, or north to Maine!

The Race Brook is a soothing presence, babbling right through the center of our property. Enjoy the sound of the brook from a hammock in the shade or spread out a blanket for a picnic on the lawn. Also enjoy volleyball and lawn games. In the summer, sometimes the brook dries up temporarily, allowing for adventures and scavenger hunts in the riverbed.

At The Stagecoach Tavern, visionary chef Laurel Barkan uses local ingredients whenever possible to create original interpretations of both traditional and exotic dishes. The Stagecoach is best known for it’s atmosphere, as diners revel in history of the centuries-old candlelit tavern.

We love pets! Over half of our rooms are dog-friendly. Dogs love the great hiking right on the property, diving in the brook and frolicking with guests, staff and other dogs!
