Dance Lab presents the monthly Ecstatic Dance gathering with DJ Passionflower at Race Brook Lodge. This workshop is open for everybody in all levels of experience. Andrew (Passionflower) is host and DJ of Earthshake, Massachusetts’ largest monthly ecstatic dance.
Come with an open heart, wear comfortable clothing for movement and bring socks.This will be a safe and inclusive space, welcoming people from all walks of life to freely express themselves through movement. No prior dance experience is required, just come as you are!

Andrew (Passionflower) is host and DJ of Earthshake, Massachusetts’ largest monthly ecstatic dance. Come experience a passionate, lovingly-crafted dance set like those that characterize the explosive, wholesome, wildly devoted dance community that is growing larger every month in Northampton at Earthshake! Andrew’s set’s are composed of highly scrutinized tracks, specifically selected to awaken dancers’ hearts. Each set ensures a generous warm-up, and a prayerful cool-down - after track after track of the most danceable beats and melodies from around the world. Expect long, engaging transitions, carefully executed mashups, nearly forgotten throwbacks, and uncanny surprises throughout the set. Dance is a transformational, fun, and radicle practice needed now more than ever. It’s an honor to craft soundtracks for those who are ready to improve their lives and improve the world.
Race Brook Lodge is a hidden gem in The Berkshires, at the foot of Mt. Race and a short hike from the Appalachian trail. The yoga & event barn at Race Brook is simultaneously rustic and sublime, steeped in hundreds of years of New England history. The Stagecoach Tavern is unpretentious fine dining, exquisite farm-to-table cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. Much of the food is sourced from Race Farm, right on the property!
Come join us for the first four Wednesdays in May, 3-8pm, to experience the magic of Race Brook Lodge. Each session, led by Melanie “Poppins”, will be themed around incorporating elements of nature into our weekly theme craft, and will include programming with music, movement, and storytelling.
