The Brother Brothers are the indie folk band fronted by identical twins Adam and David Moss. The Brothers were born and raised in Peoria, Illinois and originally based in Brooklyn, but have been ultimately and profoundly shaped by indiscriminate rambling. They are the kind of people who have a story about everything, and more so, one you might genuinely like to hear.
Billy Keane is a wanderer, a taker of the scenic route. From college dropout to world traveler to touring musician, Billy’s path is a winding one, and one which he has seen and experienced through the eyes of a singer/songwriter of a unique kind. In early 2020, Billy refound his sobriety from alcohol, ending a long lasting and destructive battle with himself, and beginning a new life of clarity, gratitude, and a deep and abiding appreciation for and love of simple living.

After a year of touring Cover to Cover, their last release with Compass Records, the brothers are planning the release of their 3rd album of original songs, “The January Album.” Produced by Bridget Kearney of Lake Street Dive and engineered by Phil Weinrobe (Alanis Morisette, Big Thief, Damien Rice) Adam and David consider it their most collaborative and innovative creation yet. Speaking on the Brother Brothers, American Songwriter once said, “no matter what musical context Adam and David Moss may come to put themselves in, what the duo want to say through music will always come to show the beauty that exists—even in the deepest cracks—of human living." Proclaims No Depression, “the warm harmonies and silky melodies of identical twins David and Adam Moss evoke the kind of ’60s-era folk tunes that reverberated through dark, wood-paneled bars in the Village… If these brothers aren’t among the Americana Music Association’s nominees for Emerging Artist or Duo-Group, I want a recount.”
The Brother Brothers’ luminous touring career spans international headlining, support runs with the likes of Keb Mo, I’m With Her, Big Thief, Lake Street Dive, and Shakey Graves, as well as key plays at NPR's Mountain Stage, FreshGrass Festival, Folk Alliance, Woodford Folk, Nelsonville Music Festival, and Edmonton Folk among others.
Gaining notoriety as the co-founder of the berkshire based collaborative The Whiskey Treaty Roadshow, Billy Keane’s sound is a blending of neo folk/americana with psychedelic indie rock and country. It is inspired by his life, listening and his belief that to be human means to experience the universe and our world, its people and to reflect all that back upon itself through artistic expression. He can be found performing his resounding anthemic songs either as a solo act with an acoustic guitar, or with his band, The Waking Dream.
Keane’s debut album, Too Much to Let it Go released in August 2022, has garnered over 200,000 streams, radio play across AAA radio nationally and critical acclaim across No Depression, The Boot and Americana Highways.
Billy’s musical legacy has taken him to festivals all over the country and he has had the honor of sharing the stage with household names like James Taylor, Yo Yo Ma, The Gin Blossoms and Blues Traveler and headlining folk clubs such as Cambridge’s Club Passim, Saratoga Springs Caffe Lena, NYC’s Rockwood Music Hall and San Francisco’s Hotel Utah.
