Jazz Brunch on June 15th at The Stagecoach Tavern features blues artist Mamie Minch, capping off a weekend of music at The Down County Jump.
Mamie Minch is steeped in the grit and growl of pre-war blues and she sings with a voice like smoke and iron, worn velvet and rust. Her guitar playing is raw, syncopated, slyly virtuosic, echoing the ghost-notes of Memphis Minnie and Skip James. A luthier by trade and a torchbearer by temperament, Mamie doesn’t imitate—she conjures. Whether alone with her resonator or fronting a band, she channels an old spirit into something unmistakably alive, unvarnished, and soul-deep.
Brunch served 11am-3pm
Live music starts at 12:00pm
