First things first: If you are a past, present or just curious Joint Chiefs fan, join this gathering of the tribe. Not just another gig… Think V.S.O.P.
Loosely grounded in the Americana tradition, the Joint Chiefs infuse an acoustic dynamic with rock energy. Over a smoldering instrumentation that weaves percussion with guitar, mandolin, accordion and bass, the Chiefs unleash an acrobatic vocal awareness. In flight, three lead vocalists take turns driving… swooping and diving across a broad song scape that mixes well-known songs with unknown songs, and songs they write themselves.
Over their three decades "in the trenches", Louise Lindenmeyr, George Potts, Diana Herold and Eliot Osborn have evolved an intuitive communication that is real. They are not “an act”. They're a band… focused on "raising the room" with whoever is in it. At its core, a Chiefs' performance is as much about how music feels as how it sounds. Come experience this one for yourself. Expect it to be playful… a “one night only" joy ride through the most requested songs in their catalog.

ARTIST BIOS
Eliot Osborn - Guitar, Bass & Vocals
A longtime Salisbury Connecticut native, Eliot has been writing & performing songs for more than 40 years. In college he co-founded New England's venerable jamband, the OUTERSPACE BAND. Never too far from his beloved old GUILD acoustic guitar, Eliot teaches music & songwriting throughout the Northeast, and still tends a sizable vegetable garden. He and his wife Louise have two daughters, Rosalie & Nicolette and 3 grandchildren.
Louise Lindenmeyr - Mandolin, Button Box Accordion, Vocals
Louise's musical debut was in a jug band where she sang and played the washboard. At a fiddle festival in East Benton, Maine, she met Eliot Osborn from the Outerspace Band and began to expand her chops to include mandolin and button accordion. They began playing country duets together and traveled with Project Troubador, a non-profit they continue to direct which bridges cultural divides with street performance. In the 90s she and Eliot teamed up with neighbor George Potts to create the Joint Chiefs, playing for years around NWCT. During this time she also played with the Berkshire County girl-group the Ravin' Mavens. She continues to play with the Chiefs, collaborating with musical ideas and songwriting.
George Potts - Guitar, Bass & Vocals
George Potts’ tenor voice and finger-picked guitar playing has been heard throughout Northwestern Connecticut for over 40 years. A lover of many types of music, he cut his teeth in the early 1970's Chicago music scene as founding member of the eclectic folk/jazz ensemble, REDWOOD LANDING. After moving to Kent, CT, he played bass with his father-in-law, the noted pianist Dolph Traymon at the FIFE 'N DRUM and sang with THE KENT SINGERS and in the choir at ST. ANDREW'S CHURCH. On most JOINT CHIEFS tunes, he plays either guitar or bass, and provides the high tenor harmonies. He and his wife Elissa have two daughters, Kate & Sarah, and 5 grandchildren - all of whom sing like angels .... for more on George's music, see here.
Diana Herold - Drums & Percussion
Diana Herold's musical curiosity began at an early age in "HEEW-ston, Texas." After kicking up a lot of dust and sniffing around, her musical nose steered her east, first to Boston and a degree from the New England Conservatory, then finally arriving at the big apple...BITE! She performs primarily in the city, but every year, if you look hard enough, she and the wonderful love of her life can be seen with a little suv, stuffed with percussive music gear, making tracks along US interstates.
