Race Brook is a rustic eclectic lodge in a serene bucolic landscape, nestled at the foot of Mount Race in Sheffield, Massachusetts and around the corner from many cultural and natural attractions in the Berkshires. Meandering footpaths connect the restored lodge, barns and cottages, all converted into cozy, comfortable accommodations and spacious event spaces.
Race Brook’s rich history is reflected in the architecture of the buildings, with wide plank floors, exposed wood beams, and quirky nooks and crannies adding rustic character. No two rooms are alike; all are thoughtfully appointed and WiFi accessible. Enjoy our hearty, homemade breakfast, and stay for dinner at the on-site Stagecoach Tavern.
Hiking trails can be found right outside your door, including a short jaunt to the unmissable views from the top of nearby Race Brook Falls, and direct access to The Appalachian Trail. Just across the brook, the farm garden grows much of the produce for our restaurant and welcomes visitors in the summer months. We are family-run, with a commitment to responsive service. Come for a tranquil Berkshires getaway and see why so many of our guests return time and again.
